1) Florida's New POA Rules and 2) Not-For Profit Tax Update
Scott Selis, Esq. will speak for about 25 minutes on the new Florida law about Powers of Attorney, then Dave Moja, CPA will speak on “Not for Profit Tax Update.”
2011 has been a wild year for exempt organization tax issues. There have been numerous IRS pronouncements, tax court cases, and changes to form instructions that vividly change the way we need to be reporting tax data. In this session, we will summarize the most important of these myriad changes.

Scott Selis Bio:
Mr. Selis serves on the Medicaid and Legislative Committees of The Florida Bar's Elder Law Section. Mr. Selis was appointed by the Department of Children & Families' Secretary, George Sheldon, to serve on a 21 member advisory panel to improve Medicaid Services to Disabled Adults and the Elderly. The Department of Children & Families' is responsible for processing all Medicaid Applications.
Mr. Selis is a member of the leading professional organizations associated with elder law, including Elder Counsel, Medicaid Practice Systems, National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and Elder Law Answers. In addition, Mr. Selis was a charter member of The Academy of Special Needs Planners.
