About Us
We include professionals from five primary membership groups: Attorneys, Bank Trust Officers, Certified Financial Planners, Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Life Underwriters. We work to foster the understanding of the proper relationships among these disciplines, and we encourage the cooperation of persons comprising the Estate Planning Team.
We welcome and involve other parties having to do with Estate Planning, including particularly Planned Giving and Development Officers from charitable 501(c)(3) organizations that use estate planning as a means of funding their activities.
We also welcome as Affiliate members Individuals in other professions or occupations who support the goals, objectives, and methods of the Estate Planning Council of the Fun Coast.
Our primary purposes are to 1) Promote professional acquaintance and interaction, and 2) Provide opportunities for continuing education among members in a mutually respectful setting.
We also recognize that a community which builds its "charitable endowment base" dollars spread among institutions in healthcare, education, social services, and the arts among others - can do more to improve the quality of life as well as to provide for those in need of care. Our purpose in providing some related programs is to inspire professionals and the public to focus on philanthropy, and to provide some of the tools to help clients realize their dreams.
Our first program meeting was held in Palm Coast, FL, on March 20, 2007. We are growing and we welcome members and guests from three coastal Florida counties – Volusia, Flagler, and St. Johns, including the primary cities of Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, and America’s oldest, St. Augustine.
